Varsity Cheerleading Agrees to Pay $82.5 Million in Anti-Trust Settlement

Paul LLP Trial Attorneys has secured a settlement of $82.5 million from Varsity Cheerleading for unfair business practices. Varsity is a well-known competitive cheerleading organization. It officiates cheerleading tournaments and runs year-round training camps for students and professionals alike.

The company was accused by plaintiffs of artificially inflating the prices of goods, services, enrollment fees, and apparel. Our firm claimed that Varsity’s models violated federal anti-trust laws, as well as antitrust laws in more than half of the states. A website will soon be set up and available for individuals who have been affected by Varsity’s non-competitive business structure to claim part of the settlement.
